History

The unusual name ‘Selk’, comes from the Selk´Nam tribe in Chile. This nomadic tribe of untouched hunter-gatherers inhabited the pristine Tierra del Fuego region which literally means the "land of fire"; a name that came from early European explorers observing Selk'nam bonfire smoke. The region is characterised by the diverse terrain of the Andean mountain chain in the west and south and plateaus and low plains in the east.

The Selk’nam people dressed sparingly in spite of the harsh climate. Following these cues, the Selk Bag is super lightweight and is manufactured from the latest high-tech Nylon Taffeta that is exceptionally durable and easy to move in.

Modern Day: The World is our Playground

The technology behind the Selk Bag Sleepwear System stems from the imagination of Rodrigo Alonso, from the Musuc laboratory in Chile, who works around the clock to create the best ideas and most interesting campaigns.
